Candle Care

Getting the best burn from your wood wick

  1. Trim before every burn. Before lighting, removed excess charred material from wood wick and trim it to approximately 1/4 inch above the wax surface.
  2. Let the first burn establish a full melt pool. For the first burn, allow the candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach close the the vessel's edges. This helps establish an even burn pattern.
  3. Don't burn too long. For safety and optimal candle performance, do not burn continuously for more than 4 hours.
  4. Keep the wick clean
  5. Never leave burning candle unattended.
  6. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, curtains, and other flammable materials. 
  7. Stop burning when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains. 

A Note About Wood Wicks

Wood wicks naturally vary in appearance and may produce a gentle crackling sound as they burn. The flame height and crackle can vary from burn to burn depending on the fragrance, wax, wick condition, room conditions, and how the wick has been trimmed.
